A national gathering of teachers and students participating in a project initiated by the Davidson Institute of Science Education took place recently at the Weizmann Institute. Called the “Katom” project, it incorporates the use of laptop computers in the middle school daily curriculum. Each student and teacher is given a laptop computer, which serves as a teaching and learning aid and allows them to stay in touch inside and outside the classroom.
